At a time where raving, industrial techno maintains its much-hyped dominance all over the global dancefloor, French-German producer Wicca takes the road less gravelled—and slows the BPM down a notch. Claiming the legacy of yesteryear's thriving 'batcave' community, Wicca delivers here a hot batch of three throbbing titles. Tinged in acid, and ever-so-slightly reminiscent of housier times.

À l'heure où les maximalismes mutants noient les capitales dans leur nostalgie brutaliste, le producteur franco-allemand Wicca contient le BPM et revient à ses premières amours : une slow rave teintée d'acid. Revendiquant son héritage darkwave, Wicca défend un son noir et club, entre l'électronica "dite indé" et les restes moites du disco-rock que les années 2010 ont laissé fleurir en marge du tout-techno trustant les floors. Avec 'Prospero', Wicca s'adresse à tous ceux dont le coeur n'a jamais quitté les eaux sombres de la batcave et propose une entrée en matière crépusculaire — d'après la pièce 'La Tempête'. Les corps s'échauffent sur 'Talk To Me', injonction farouche à un partenaire perdu ; enfin, 'Motormensch' concilie la rugosité de la techno avec le dynamisme de la house dans un paysage aux couleurs singulières.
